March General Member Meeting

Join us Tuesday March 19th at 1:00pm  for a tour of the Winnipeg Police Service AIR 1 Helicopter and hangar followed by a networking opportunity at Underdogs.

Air 1 and the flight operations unit have exceeded expectations proving its worth while demonstrating its value to the citizens of Winnipeg surrounding areas. AIR 1 utilizes state of the art technology including infrared camera, augmented reality systems, and police communications. Digital high-definition live video can be sent to specific teams and users. In 2022, AIR 1 was in the air for 502 hours and attended 1292 incidents. A total of 348 persons of interest were located including 202 people charged with criminal offences.

Following the tour joins us at Underdogs at 2609 Portage Ave for your beverage of choice, terrific food and networking opportunities.

An email to all members will be sent out in February for registration. The hangar tour is limited to 20 people registrtations will close on March 11, 2024.
